Fairfield boys soccer falls by 1 goal to West Union; Lady Lions win

The Fairfield boys soccer team lost to the West Union Dragons in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play on Wednesday by one goal at 1-0.

Fairfield’s road loss saw the Lions have 17 saves from James Bentley. Andrew Newland had one shot not on goal, while Jordan Cameron had two shots with one on goal. Koben Zink had one shot with it being on goal.

Zane Kingsolver from West Union had the lone goal of the match.

For the Lady Lions, they won against West Union by a 7-5 score. (Stats not submitted.)

Next for the Lions and Lady Lions is a home non-conference match against the McClain Tigers Thursday.
