Fairfield 7th grade Lady Lions defeat Fayetteville

The Fairfield Lady Lions seventh grade team earned a season-opening victory on Saturday, Nov. 30 against the Fayetteville Lady Rockets by a 41-18 score.

For the Fairfield seventh graders, they led 12-0 at the end of the first quarter, and following a 15-2 second quarter, the score was in favor of Fairfield at 27-2.

In the third quarter Fairfield outscored Fayetteville, 12-8, and in the fourth frame Fayetteville scored eight points and Fairfield added two points to their totals.

Mya Hamilton led the Fairfield team with 26 points, followed by 10 points from Jobey Hattan. Also scoring for the seventh grade team were Hannah Hamilton with three points and Mackenzie Anderson with two points.

The win makes the Fairfield team 1-0 overall.
