Fairfield 7th grade girls win against Ripley

The Fairfield seventh grade Lady Lions basketball team defeated the Ripley Lady Blue Jays by a 38-10 score on Saturday in a Southern Hills Athletic Conference game.

Fairfield led by a 12-2 score at the end of the first quarter, and following a second quarter score of 11-2, the seventh grade team led by a 23-4 score. In the second half, Fairfield outscored Ripley 8-2 in the third quarter, then in the fourth Ripley added four points to their overall total, while Fairfield scored seven points.

Mya Hamilton led the Lady Lions with 16 points, and next in the scoring column was Mackenzie Anderson with six points.

Kassi Miller and Hannah Hamilton each scored four points. Next were Aylah Humphreys, Jobey Hattan and Isabelle Brunck each scoring two points. Rounding out the scoring were Halle Jones and Mallory Tolle with one point each.

The win improves the Lady Lions to 3-0 overall this season.
