Carter, White earn SHAC Player of the Year awards

Highland County had two athletes named Southern Hills Athletic Conference Player of the Year for their respective sports this spring.

Fairfield’s Kaiti White received the Softball Player of the Year award, while Lynchburg-Clay’s Zac Carter earned the Boys Track and Field Player of the Year award.

The Players of the Year were honored at the SHAC spring sports banquet.

Also earning POY honors were Tay Call, Fayetteville (baseball) and Madison Hopkins, Eastern (girls track and field).
