5 earn All-Ohio Soccer
Highland County was well represented on the 2014 Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association All-Ohio teams for Division II and III, as there were five players from three schools earning the honor.
Topping the list was Lynchburg-Clay senior mid-fielder Sydney Cromer, as she was selected first-team All-Ohio for her play in her senior season. Cromer, who was also the Div. III SE District Player of the Year, earns the All-Ohio honor for the second consecutive season.
Cromer finished her '14 season with 35 total points, including 15 goals and five assists. LC reached the regional finals in Division III, ending the season with an overall record of 18-2-1. LC also won the Southern Hills Athletic Conference championship and a district title.
Joining her on the Division III team are senior teammate and mid-fielder Keanna Oaks and Fairfield senior forward Kaitlin Evans, who is also All-Ohio second-team for a second season.
Oaks totaled 10 goals and five assists in '14 for the Lady Mustangs.

Evans finished the '14 season with 44 goals and six assists, as the Lady Lions were 9-7-1 overall.
On the Division II team was Hillsboro senior mid-fielder Trista Rhodes, as she is second-team All-Ohio. Rhodes and the Lady Indians finished this past season with a 15-7-0 overall record, including playing in the regional finals for a second consecutive season, along with being a district champion.
Rhodes this season finished with 28 goals and five assists.
As for boys All-Ohio, representing Lynchburg-Clay is junior forward Noah Scott, who earned second-team honors. Scott finished his junior season with a team-high 20 goals and one assist. The LC boys ended the '14 season with a 12-2-4 overall record, including the SHAC championship.
