The Southern Hills Athletic Conference honored the fall athletes of the year for the 2018 season, with four Highland County athletes being honored for their respective sports.

For Lynchburg-Clay, two soccer players were honored, with Peyton Scott being named girls soccer player of the year and Chris Young earning boys soccer player of the year. Fairfield also had two honorees, with Kamryn Magee receiving girls volleyball player of the year honors and Brandtson Duffie earning the boys cross-country runner of the year award for his first-place finish at the conference meet.
