Fairfield boys and girls soccer teams earn SHAC wins at Eastern
Wednesday night saw both the Fairfield boys and girls soccer teams earn big-time wins in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference.
In boys play, the Lions defeated EHS, 4-2, and in the girls game, the Lady Lions won over Eastern at 2-1.
The girls game saw FHS score two goals, both by Faith Donley. Claire Newkirk finished with four saves for the Lady Lions.
Fairfield is now tied for first place in the SHAC standings for girls soccer with a 3-0-0 record in SHAC games. The Lady Lions are 6-1 overall.
In boys action, Zane Matthews scored two goals, Logan McIntosh totaled one goal and one assist, and Daniel Ward also had one goal. Larkin Friend finished with an assist for Fairfield.
Carson Jenkins ended the game with four saves at keeper for the Lions.
The win moves Fairfield to 3-0-0 in conference play, second in the SHAC (North Adams is 4-0-0), and 4-6-0 overall.
