Wilmington College honors students for academic excellence

Wilmington College honored two Highland County students at the 29th annual Student Recognition Ceremony with Academic Major Awards for the field of education. Pictured are: Michele Beery of Hillsboro, Wilmington College associate professor of education, who presented awards to Ashley McQuiniff, a 2006 graduate of Adena High School, who won the Early Childhood Education award; Adam McGinnis of Hillsboro, a 1995 graduate of Hillsboro High School, who won the Middle Childhood education award; and Matthew Carson of Leesburg, a 2005 graduate of Fairfield High School and current FHS athletic director and boys basketball coach, who won the Adolescent/Young Adult award.
Also pictured is former Highland County Christian School student, Southern State Community College and North Adams High School graduate Meghan Ryan, receiving her Green Key academic honors society certificate from Wilmington College President Dr. Dan DiBiasio.
