Local children ages 10 through 14 interested in learning about their local waterways, the health of water ecosystems, and native plants and animals can attend Wilmington College’s annual Splash Science Summer Camp from July 14 to 18.

The day camp, which is sponsored by WC’s Department of Natural Sciences, operates from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Center for the Sciences & Agriculture, featuring trips to local creeks. Participants will collect and learn to identify organisms found in these creeks, both enjoyably and scientifically. The $50 registration fee covers water shoes, a T-shirt and lunch each day. Scholarships are available, and applications should be submitted by July 1.

More information is available by contacting Dr. Russell Kincaid, professor of mathematics and physics, at rkincaid@wilmington.edu.
