Whiteoak students take eight of the top 10 places in poster contest

     The Southern Ohio Pregnancy Center held a county-wide poster contest to spread the word on "abstinence" expressed through the use of student's images in their posters. Three Whiteoak students from Mr. Rahe's Health classes swept the awards. The first place winner was Taryn Watson, winning a cash prize of $50. Second place was Melynda Rodgers, who took home $25 for her art work. Ryan McCann was a close third.
Although this was a county-wide contest, Whiteoak also had eight of the next top ten places. All received honorable mention for their outstanding posters, including: Kendra Westrich, Dylan Campbell, CJ Jones, Karla Melgar-Diaz, Jon Fox, Megan Burrier, Jessie Gilliland, and Nathan Hauke.
