Whiteoak softball team, businesses partner on field improvements

On Wednesday, April 16, the Lady 'Cats' softball team partnered up with Lowes of Hillsboro and Irish Green Lawn & Landscaping to improve their softball field.

They braved the cold to paint dugouts, reline the field, make a walkway, pave where the bleachers go, plant trees and cleanup behind the dugout; $3,000 in materials and labor was donated to help get this project completed.

Fifteen Lowes employees donated their time to help the softball team. A-1 Building Company will be donating their time and materials to build a storage shed for the softball team to store all of their equipment.

Thank you to everyone for all of their hard work.
