Whiteoak High School holds Veterans Day program

On November 11, Whiteoak High School held a Veterans Day program. Twelve veterans and 30 friends and family from around the area were served snacks and coffee in the Old Gym by the student leadership team, Ms. Hahn, and Mr. Roush. 
Then they were led to the gymnasium, where all the students in the school applauded the veterans for their service.
Blake Trueblood, opened with an invocation. Amanda Allen sang the National Anthem; and Jessica Jones and Ashley Crone performed "Taps."
A video was played to show us how unthankful people are and that they don’t care about the freedoms they have today. We get all these freedoms but there was a
price to pay, and people tend to forget about that.  
Whiteoak High School would like to say thank you to all of our veterans. "Without them, we wouldn’t have most freedoms that we enjoy today. They paid a very big price to protect their friends, family, and people they won't ever meet. Without them, where would we be today?"
