Welcome to a new school year from Hillsboro High School
The Hillsboro High School building will be open Thursday, Aug. 12 from 4-6 p.m. Students and parents are welcome to walk around the building and view the rooms. Teachers may or may not be available during that time.
Teachers will be available during parent-teacher conferences Oct. 27 and March 24 from 3-9 p.m. to meet with parents.
Parents are also welcome to contact the teachers anytime to schedule a one-on-one appoint. Teachers may be contacted by phone or email.
Lunches will cost $2.50. Money may be deposited into student accounts so money does not have to be sent with student each day. All students will need to know their student ID number to go through the cafeteria line.  Student ID numbers are printed on student schedules.
School starts Monday, Aug. 16. Classes begin at 7:22 a.m. and the last class ends at 2:22 p.m.
Buses drop off and pick up on the north side of the building (backside). No cars are permitted in the backside during the drop off/pick up times.
Student parking is on the west side of the building (lot on the US 62 side).  Parking spaces will be sold the first week of school. Overflow parking for students is in the gravel lot across the main drive.
Parents who drop off or pickup their teenager are to use the main drive that goes in the front of the building. Please allow buses to make room for the turn and do not block the road  coming in front of the east wing of the building.
Students are to report to their homeroom first thing Monday morning. Schedules will be distributed in homeroom.  Homeroom lists will be posted in the halls and teachers will be available to direct students to homerooms in case students do not remember their homeroom.
Students will receive progress book passwords for the 2010-11 school year the first day of school and parent passwords will be the week of Aug. 23.
If parents have not received passwords by Monday, Aug. 30, please contact the grade level counselor.
