Highland County's Talented & Gifted (TAG) students recently experienced our nation's capital on their annual TAG field trip.
Forty-four fifth, sixth and seventh graders and seven chaperones toured Washington, D.C. with stops at the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, the Korean War Memorial, Ford's Theater, the White House, the Jefferson Memorial, the World War II Memorial, the U.S. Marine (Iwo Jima) Memorial, George Washington's Mount Vernon Plantation, Arlington National Cemetery, the American History Smithsonian Institute, the National Air & Space Museum/Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, and the United States Capitol.
Students attending from Fairfield Local Schools were: Randy Lamme, Annabelle Meddock, Brittany Cox, Olivia Bobb, Cierra Zingery, Camille Burgess, Hannah Willey, Damien Lay, and Chloe Barber.
Students from Hillsboro City Schools were Lauren Grover, Kaitlin Swayne, Emily Myers, Abby Myers, Kaitlin Whiting, Emily Shanahan, Reaghan Haines, Meredith Oglesby, Brendan Thomas, Jonathan PeGan, Bishop Taylor, Emily Burkwinkel, Evan Burwinkel, Tabitha Porter, Mackenzie Countryman, Bree Opst, Reed Newman, Mackenzie Frantz, Marshall Ward, Vanessa McGinnis, Emily Young, Morgan Holland, Breanne Fender, Samantha Fender, Ashleigh Baucom, Riley Moberly, Tyler King, Molly Stokes and Kennedi Claycomb.
Bright Local School District was represented by: Rocky Smith, Gage Rains, Shawn Wissel, Amber Lytle, Casey Nace, and Charley Skinner.
Chaperones for the trip were Mrs. Amy Meddock, Mrs. Diane Michael, Mrs. Tonia Armstrong, Mrs. Kristi Grover, Mr. Mark Holmes, and Mr. Bret Malone.
