Sydney Shelton earns Mowrystown Lions Club scholarship

The Mowrystown Lions Club is proud to announce that Sydney Shelton, a 2026 graduating Whiteoak High School senior, has been awarded the 2026 Mowrystown Lions Club scholarship.  

The scholarship, valued at $500, is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional dedication to their studies and a commitment to making a positive impact in their community.
 
Sydney is the daughter of Craig and Angie Shelton of Lynchburg, and the granddaughter of Eddie and Cathy Forsythe of Mowrystown, and Jerry and the late Donna Shelton of Danville.
 
Sydney will continue her education at Wilmington College this fall, where she will be majoring in Agricultural Education.
 
Congratulations, Sydney,  We wish you the best of luck as you continue your education.”
 
The Mowrystown Lions Club was chartered in 2013 and has been awarding scholarships since 2015, supporting students in achieving their educational goals and building a brighter future.
