State officer visits Hillsboro FFA
Lead Summary

Jordan Williamson-
On Friday, Jan. 11, the Hillsboro FFA chapter had the 2018-19 State Sentinel from the state FFA officer team, Mallary Caudill, at their school for a workshop day.
Caudill spent all day talking to students about being a great influence and reaching your goals and getting past obstacles. She had teamwork activities for kids to work on together.
Throughout the day, each class did a different activity. One class build a tower out of index cards to work as a team, and another class wrote goals on an index card and an obstacle on another, then they put their goal index card in a balloon and “popped the obstacle.”

One question Caudill had for the classes was “If no one could see, no one could see if you could dunk being 5-2, no one could see the type of shoes you have or car you have, how would people imagine you?” She also had everyone set a goal for 24 hours from that question of how could they help someone.
It was a great day, and everyone learned great ways to be a great influence and reach their goals.
