Every year, a State FFA Officer comes to Hillsboro High School and talks to the ag classes. This year, Joe Helterbrand, the previous president of the Hillsboro FFA Chapter and currently the secretary of the Ohio FFA Association, met with Mr. Cummings’ Hillsboro FFA freshman class via Zoom.
During this Zoom call, Helterbrand and the freshmen talked about communication. Helterbrand explained communication in three different phases: developing a message, sending the message and receiving feedback.
After explaining communication, Helterbrand had the freshman FFA class talk him through how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
“When we were talking Joe through making a PB&J, he explained to us that we were using communication,” Halle Reveal said.
