St. Mary pupils receive ashes

On the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday, the students at St. Mary Catholic School received ashes on their foreheads. "The ashes are in the shape of a cross. The cross reminds us how Jesus died to give us new life," said St. Mary Principal Mary Stanforth.
