The St. Mary Catholic School Sharkey-Penn Scholarship Golf Tournament raises over $10,500

The St. Mary Catholic School Sharkey-Penn Scholarship Golf Tournament was held
at the Hillsboro Elks on June 1.

It was the first year for a women's division, and the winners were Sherry Morrison, Judy Johnson, Nancy Graves and Judy Newby (absent).

The men's division winners were Austin Bagshaw, Matt Sharkey, Ian Siemer, and Peter McColgan.

The tournament raised over $10,500 for the scholarship fund.

St. Mary's and the Sharkey family would like to thank everyone who sponsored tees, teams and donated items for the raffle and auction. Many students will benefit from the funds raised who otherwise might not be able to attend St. Mary's.

The school is also selling tickets for a Michael Waltrip Racing VIP weekend. This includes two hot passes to any NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race (except fall Charlotte), watching the race from the pits and more amenities.
