    Scholarship applications for current residents of Highland County are available at Greenfield, Hillsboro, Leesburg, and Lynchburg Libraries and the Financial Aid Office at Southern State.

     The purpose of the scholarship is to promote the academic development of "non-traditional" female students. The non-traditional student is interpreted as a woman whose education has been interrupted or delayed. The applicant must have resided in Highland County for the last two years and be a current resident of the county. She must be at least 21 by July 1, 2010 and be attending an accredited college.

     Applications must be received by July 1, 2010. For more information, call 937-393-8347.
