Shawnee State University History Professor Mark Mirabello, Ph.D., will be appearing on the History Channel in the Ancient Aliens Series that premieres at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

He will be discussing “deadly cults” on the show. The show has an international viewership and draws more than two million people each episode. It is in its third season.

As an author and expert on extraordinary phenomena, Mirabello has been contacted for several programs in the past. His area of expertise is the "outlaw" history on the "frontiers and margins" of human civilization.

Mirabello's doctorate is in European intellectual history. He lectures on Alternative Religions and Cults, Secret Societies, Terrorism and Crime, Banned Books, Fascist Europe and Nazi Germany, Myths and Legends, Intellectual History and other subjects.

His books deal with the supernatural, “The Odin Brotherhood and The Crimes of Jehovah,” the unnatural, “The Cannibal Within,” and the natural, “Handbook for Rebels and Outlaws.”

His latest adventure was being featured in the new movie, "The Kingdom of Survival" that premiered on the SSU campus in September.[[In-content Ad]]
