SSCC Theatre season tickets on sale Sept. 2

Beginning Sept. 2, season tickets for SSCC Theatre's 2013-14 season will be on sale. This season marks the 10th Anniversary Season with current director, Rainee Angles.

To commemorate the occasion, a special T-shirt is included with purchase of a season ticket. The shirt features the logo for every show produced by SSCC Theatre in the last 10 years.

Tickets for the set of three shows, and the free shirt are $20, a savings of up to $28, and are available by visiting www.sscctheatre.com. The schedule for the 10th anniversary season includes:

"Our Town" by Thornton Wilder-This timeless drama of life in the mythical village of Grover's Corners, N.H., has become an American classic with universal appeal. Wilder's most frequently performed play, "Our Town" appeared on Broadway in 1938 to wide acclaim, winning the Pulitzer Prize.

This play explores the relationship between two young neighbors, George Gibbs and Emily Webb, whose childhood friendship blossoms into romance, and then culminates in marriage. When Emily loses her life in childbirth, the circle of life portrayed in each of the three acts of "Our Town" -growing up, adulthood, and death-is fully realized. "Our Town," celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, plays Nov. 15-17, 2013.

"Almost, Maine" by John Cariani-On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend-almost-in this delightful midwinter night's dream. "Almost, Maine" plays April 4-6, 2014.

"Macbeth" by William Shakespeare-Macbeth, a brave Scottish general, receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders the king and takes the throne for himself. His reign is racked with guilt and paranoia, and he soon becomes a tyrannical ruler as he is forced to commit more and more murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion. The bloodbath swiftly takes Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into realms of arrogance, madness, and death. "Macbeth" runs July 25-27, 2014.
