SSCC pottery students hosting Nov. 19 show and sale

Students enrolled in ceramics classes at Southern State Community College are hosting a Pottery Students Showcase & Sale from 6-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Learning Resources Center on the college’s South Campus, 12681 U.S. Route 62, Fincastle.

The event will feature a variety of pottery styles, including carved pots, vases, Raku tea bowls, along with stoneware and porcelain pieces. Students who will be showcasing and selling their work are Dora Anderson, Brenda Bradds, Carey Juillerat, Kelly Lay, Thad Wallace, James Werline, and Rebecca Worley. The students are under the direction of instructor Nancy Ache.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served, and students will give demonstrations and pottery studio tours.
