Southern State’s Practical Nursing Program accepting applications for January 2026 cohort

Southern State’s Practical Nursing (PN) program is accepting applications through October for the upcoming Spring Semester, which begins in January 2026. The program will be held on both Central and Brown campuses. 
 
The College’s rigorous, hands-on program prepares students to become Licensed Practical Nurses—an essential part of today’s healthcare workforce.
 
Applications will be accepted through October 31, 2025. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Contact Betty Cole, Health Sciences Navigator, at bcole@sscc.edu or call 937-393-3431, Ext. 2640 for guidance to prepare and enter the program.
 
“Our Practical Nursing program is designed for students who are passionate about patient care and want to enter the healthcare field quickly,” said Dr. Julianne Krebs, Director of Nursing at Southern State. “Graduates of our program are well-prepared to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam and begin rewarding careers in hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, and more.”
 
Southern State’s Practical Nursing program highlights include:
