Southern State’s next semester begins Jan. 12, 2026

While winter weather settles in, Southern State is preparing for the start of Spring Semester which begins January 12, 2026. Registration is currently open to all, as the College prepares to welcome new and returning students to campus in the new year. 
 
Students can choose from a wide range of in-person and online courses designed to provide flexible learning options. Academic advising, financial aid assistance, and tutoring services will be available to help students prepare for the term.
 
All campuses will be closed for the holidays from December 24 – January 2. Campuses will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 8 a.m.
 
In order to give students plenty of time to register due to the holiday closure, SSCC will be open on Saturday, January 10, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. There will also be extended hours on Monday, January 12, and Tuesday, January 13, until 6 p.m. each day.
