Sneak peek of SSCC's Mt. Orab campus set for July 15

Southern State Community College will host a sneak peek of its newest campus in Brown County from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at 351 Brooks-Malott Road in Mt. Orab. The event is free and open to the public.
Visitors can learn about programs offered at the new facility and enjoy refreshments, guided tours, academic advising, and prize giveaways offered throughout the day.
The two-story, 50,000-square-foot facility will be open for classes for Fall Semester 2014. Registration is now open, and classes begin Aug. 25.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Meet the Team – During the lunchtime hours of 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the college’s new Athletic Director, Matt Wells, and several members of the men’s and women’s athletic programs will be on hand to autograph fun giveaways and meet the community. Guests are invited to enjoy a light lunch with the Patriots, tour the campus and attend informational sessions.
Join the Club – Can’t swing by until after work? The afternoon session is just for you. From 4:30-7 p.m. meet representatives from SSCC’s various student organizations and other folks who will soon call Mt. Orab home. If you’re famished from a long day at work, enjoy a light dinner while you tour the campus and attend informational sessions.
Guided Tours – You are always welcome to stop by and peruse the campus on your own; however, if you want the inside scoop, allow us to guide you through the building with an informed and knowledgeable SSCC representative. Tours will begin every 30 minutes from 1:30-4:30 p.m. and will meet in the lobby area adjacent to the community room.
Part-Time Instructor Recruiting Fair – Interested in sharing your knowledge and skills with students? Teaching part-time may be your calling. Academic representatives will be on hand to help you navigate the credentialing requirements and hiring procedures.

DIRECTIONS
Because improvements to Brooks-Malott Road at the campus site are still under way and therefore closed to traffic directly from OH-32/Appalachian Highway, visitors are directed to enter from one of the following alternate routes:
• From Cincinnati and points west – Begin eastbound on OH-32/Appalachian Highway, turn left onto Bodman Road/County Highway 87 for 0.4 miles, take the first right onto Bardwell West Road/County Highway 89 for 1.3 miles, turn right onto Brooks-Malott Road for 0.1 mile and 351 Brooks-Malott Road is on the right.
• From points east – Begin westbound on OH-32/Appalachian Highway, take the US-68 ramp toward Fayetteville/Mt. Orab, turn right onto N. High St./US-68 N for 0.3 mile, take the second left onto Bardwell West Road/County Highway 89 for 0.9 mile, take the first left onto Brooks-Malott Road for 0.1 mile and 351 Brooks-Malott Road is on the right.
• From Fayetteville and points north – Begin southbound on US-68, turn right onto Bardwell West Road/County Highway 89 for 0.9 mile, take the first left onto Brooks-Malott Road for 0.1 mile and 351 Brooks-Malott Road is on the right.
• From Mt. Orab and points south – Begin northbound on US-68, turn left onto Bardwell West Road/County Highway 89 for 0.9 mile, take the first left onto Brooks-Malott Road for 0.1 mile and 351 Brooks-Malott Road is on the right.
