Second District Representative Brad Wenstrup visited the Lynchburg-Clay High School this week to speak with about 100 students about how Congress works and how he is representing southern Ohio in Washington, D.C.

Wenstrup spoke briefly about his background as a doctor, small business owner, and soldier, which brought him the opportunity to become the Representative for the 2nd Congressional District.

The emphasis of Representative Wenstrup’s discussion with students was on service and how each individual can impact their school, community, state and nation.

Wenstrup spent a majority of his time taking questions from students ranging from the military, Benghazi, and the debt ceiling.

Wenstrup was impressed with the students’ knowledge and interests in issues facing our nation today.

“The students at Lynchburg-Clay High School were informed on so many issues nationally. It is encouraging to see young people taking such an interest in their community and their country.”
