Premier Showmen 4-H Club
The Premier Showmen 4-H Club held their fifth meeting of the year on Sunday, April 3 at the 4-H food booth. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Sydney Sanders at 6 p.m.
At the beginning of the meeting, members participated in a leadership game called silent telephone. In order to play this game, the club members made two lines with their chairs. Each line was a team.
Next, the member at the back of the line was shown a picture. Then, that member had to draw the picture on the back of the person in front of them with their finger. The next member would do the same and so no. The person in the front of the line drew the picture on a piece of paper. The team with the most accurate picture won. When the game was over, the club participated in the annual Easter egg hunt.
During officer reports, Sanders read the club constitution and by-laws of the Premier Showmen 4-H club. In a unanimous vote, the club approved the constitution and by-laws for the 2022 4-H year.
After the approval of the constitution and by-laws, four members gave their demonstrations. Carson Grooms gave his demonstration on how to tie a fishing knot. Next, Braydon Cummings gave his demonstration on how to make a bird feeder. Then, Easton Dhume gave a presentation on how to make a suet for birds. Finally, Kenley Juillerat showed the club how to make fluffy slime.
For the Cloverbud activity, the Cloverbuds made bunny masks and learned about rabbits.
The Premier Showmen 4-H club will meet again on May 1 at 6 p.m.
