Heather Parker is the second among many other seniors getting the opportunity to display their artwork in the showcase located on the first floor of McClain High School. Parker’s talent is expressed in various different forms, such as photography, paintings and even string art.

“I feel very proud.” Parker said about the opportunity. “Getting to show my art where people will walk by and see the hard work I put into my work is so rewarding.”

Parker’s artwork expresses plenty of personality. Art, to her, “means expressing yourself with different materials that make it unique and very much your own style.”

The variety of paintings of animals shows her “animal-loving” inspirations.

“I mostly like to paint animals and nature because it expresses what my interests are and shows a different side of me,” she said.
