Courses that train students to pilot drones and produce audio for music and media, a 3D printer club and a student film festival are among the dozens of programs featured at this year’s Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Student Achievement Fair.

The Student Achievement Fair at the 2023 OSBA Capital Conference and Trade Show highlights outstanding learning initiatives created by Ohio public school districts. The celebration of learning and achievement, which is celebrating its 25th year, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Thousands of public education leaders will attend the Capital Conference from Nov. 12-14. In addition, over 500 exhibitors will display their goods and services at the Trade Show, one of the nation’s largest education trade exhibitions.

Area districts performing include:

• The Soundsations from Miami Trace Local Schools (Fayette County) will be performing at 10:35 a.m.

• Manchester Local (Adams County)’s Photography and Yearbook Program will be set up at SAF Booth 16. See how a photography program extends beyond the camera and teaches students about publications and marketing by constructing the class yearbook.

• Union Scioto Local (Ross)’s SCOPES Academy will be set up at SAF Booth 34. See how students in this “school within a school” investigate real-world, contextual problems using design thinking and inquiry.
