Mowrystown FFA competes in Soils Judging CDE

On Oct. 2, the Mowrystown FFA Chapter traveled to Butler Tech to compete in the District 9 Soils Judging CDE.

The Urban Soils team, which consists of Cole Pharo, Zachary DeAtley, Brianna Purvis and Elizabeth Edwards, got fifth in the district and will be moving on to the state contest. Pharo got eighth overall in the Urban Soils Contest.

The Rural Soils team, which consists of Logan Cummings, Colton Evans, Cora Gillespie and Chesnie Pharo, team got ninth in the district.

Charles Phillips got third in the district in the Middle School Rural Soils judging.

Congratulations to all the members, and thank you for your hard work and dedication to Soils Judging.
