Morris, Thompson represent Mowrystown FFA in capital

Logan Morris and Amber Thompson from the Mowrystown FFA Chapter participated in the Washington Leadership Conference June 8-13. The Washington Leadership Conference took place in Washington, D.C. 
FFA members from all over the United States come and learn leadership skills, make new friends, and take home ideas to help their chapter and community. Throughout the week, they developed their "Living to Serve" plans, which will guide them in their path of service.   
In addition to their session, students were able to tour the monuments during the day and some at night. The Mowrystown, Hillsboro, Lynchburg, and Fairfield FFA members at WLC had the opportunity to meet with Congressman Mike Turner and toured the Capitol as well.
Another really neat tour was of the Arlington Cemetery, where students got to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and watched the changing of the guards.
