MHSmart now available for students in need

McClain faculty members and local community service groups have created MHSmart, a new way for students to get access to clothing, supplies, and personal hygiene products. A future goal for this project is to open a pantry that supplies high school students with weekend meals.
Media specialist Gretchen Foltz thought that MHSmart was an important project because, for years, she has seen students not getting their needs. She and other faculty members wanted to establish a place where students could get what they need but also avoid the stigma of receiving help.

If a student is in need, the process of getting items from the MHSmart is easy. Go to the McClain High School webpage, http://www.greenfield.k12.oh.us/mcclainhighschool_home.aspx, and on the left-hand column, there is a link that says “MHSmart” that takes users to a Google form. Needs can be specified on the private form.
MHSmart is only open to high school students, but families can take advantage of the Greenfield Area Christian Center.
