According to adviser Kassie Hutchinson, “We wanted to raise money for a worthwhile organization that helps many people outside of our own community. It is a way for us to involve the entire student body in doing something to help others in need. The amount that we raise each year varies. Some years can go up to $700-$800, while others may only reach $200.”
Hutchinson also added, “We have also sponsored Kona Ice for the past few years during our annual MHS Day, and all the money raised by the Kona Ice Truck is also donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.” ? ?
