The cadets started hosting blood drives at MHS with the American Red Cross organization at the beginning of last year, and since then, they have hosted a total of five blood drives.
When asked why the blood drives are so important for the cadets to get involved with, Master Sergeant John Wilson said, “Blood drives save lives. (With) every unit of blood we collect, we save three people, so when we talk about community service, what better way to serve the community than to save lives.”
Master Sergeant Wilson also said, “We’d just like to get more participation. People that have a fear of giving blood, come in and at least visit us and see how the process works, and you can get yourself in line and take care of it.”
There will be snacks and juice for anyone who donates blood.
