McClain Show Choir performs at Disney World

On April 24, the McClain Show Choir departed for Disney world in Orlando, Fla.
They traveled by charter bus, and arrived on Thursday, April 25. During their stay, they enjoyed many shows and attractions in all four of the Disney Parks.
The main focus of their trip was to perform at Downtown Disney on the Waterside Stage. On Friday, April 26, the choir performed six selections for the crowd of onlookers. Included in the selections were "Dancing In The Street," "Stuck Like Glue," "You Make Me Feel So Young," Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride," "Be Our Guest," and "Under The Sea."
The students were thrilled with the large audience and the reception to their performance. It was absolutely thrilling to perform in the middle of Downtown Disney.
In addition to their performance, they attended a workshop which was led by a professional Disney performer. It was a high-energy class which the students thoroughly enjoyed.
Area businesses, churches, and organizations helped make it possible for the students to experience this wonderful trip.
This was the fourth trip to Disney for the show choir. They have performed in the Candlelight Processional and at Epcot.
In addition, they have traveled to and performed at Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Mall of America, the Macy's Day Parade, and the United Nations.
The group consists of 26 juniors and seniors. They would like to thank the community for their continued support of the arts.
Their final show for the current school year is "Curtain Call." This is the award show that honors outstanding drama and music students. The show is on Monday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. Please come out and support these talented young musicians. The concert choir and symphonic choirs will also be performing.
