McClain High School Student Council is proud to announce the 2015 Homecoming court.
The 2015 queen is Casandra Brooks and her court includes: first attendant, Madison Foltz; second attendant, Casey Brigner; senior attendant, Anna Ehlers; junior attendant, Veronica Olaker; sophomore attendant, Hannah Smith; and freshman attendant Emily Jones.
For the first time ever at McClain, the student council elected to have a homecoming king, and Vinicius Marcelino was voted in as the 2015 homecoming king.
Last week during an assembly in the auditorium, the king candidates were introduced and the queen candidates each answered a “McClain” and “personal” question along with three rapid-fire questions.
The whole student body then voted on the king and queen.
Spirit week themes include: Monday – color war with freshmen wearing green, sophomores wearing orange, juniors wearing baby blue, and seniors wearing pink; Tuesday – Twin Day; Wednesday - Tacky Red Carpet Day; Thursday - Throwback Thursday to the ‘20s-‘80s; and Friday - Purple and Gold Day.
Homecoming activities begin Thursday with McClain’s Snake Dance at 7 p.m.
The announcement of the homecoming court will take place Friday at 6:55 p.m. at the McClain Athletic Field. Lastly, the McClain Homecoming Dance will be at 8 p.m. Saturday.
