McClain FFA livestock judging team places in top 20 nationwide

Lead Summary
By
Natalie Rolfe-
McClain FFA has placed in the top 20 at nationals, as four members of our chapter had the opportunity represent Ohio at the national level.

Eric Anderson, Caleb Cook, Emily Jones and Bryn Karnes traveled to Indianapolis to compete at the National FFA Livestock Judging Evaluation Competition. During the two-day contest, members had to complete a team activity, three keep/cull classes, a written exam, a performance bull class, eight classes of livestock and four sets of reasons. The team activity consisted of a marketing scenario and sire selection scenario to test their knowledge of the livestock industry.

The team walked away with a silver rating and a top 20 finish in the nation. This is the highest level of competition in the National FFA Organization.

The McClain FFA Chapter would like to thank the community members who encourage and enable the success of our members.
