McClain FFA district champs in forestry contest

The McClain FFA chapter competed in the Forestry contest on Oct. 1. The competition was held at Hocking College in Nelsonville.

The team competed in tree identification, timber cruising, forest products, equipment identification, a compass course and a topographical map test.

This team is now the back-to-back district champion, and they placed 20th at the state level. The team included Ethan Cockerill, Morgan Faulconer, Destiny Trefz, Kelli Uhrig and Kaitlin Kellis.
