McClain FFA advances to state soils competition

On Oct. 2, 12 McClain FFA members competed at the district soils judging competition.

The urban soils team was made up of Garrett Brewer, Ethan Cockerill, Courtney Dodds, Emily Jones, Cate Willis and Josie Crabtree. They placed third.

The rural soils team consisted of Abby Dhume, Holly Badgley, Richie Lester, Caleb Cook, Alex Snyder and Emalee Montgomery. They received second in the district.

Both teams will be advancing to the state level. Congratulations to all who competed.
