The University of Rio Grande, in cooperation with Shawnee State University and The Ohio State University’s South Centers, will be offering the University of Rio Grande Emerson E. Evans School of Business, MBA in Entrepreneurship program on the campus of Shawnee State University.
Anyone interested in enrolling in the Master of Business Administration degree is encouraged to attend one of the April 26 informational meetings to learn more about the program. The meetings will be at 3:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. in SSU’s Kricker Hall, Room 150.
The MBA program with a concentration in Entrepreneurship is unique. It is the only program in the region that has partnered with The Ohio State University’s South Centers to provide local business with small business development counseling and MBA students with real world experiential learning opportunities.
Students who take the MBA program at Shawnee State University will be able to complete their work in two years (six semesters), while attending class on Tuesday evenings only. Each semester the student will be enrolled in two courses, one in the classroom and one online.
This schedule was designed to allow students with work or family responsibilities the opportunity to participate with only a one evening per week classroom commitment.
Students wishing to enroll in the MBA program must currently posses a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university. Their degree does not need to be in business, as we recognize that entrepreneurs come from all academic disciplines. However, if they do not have a Business Degree the program may take them a little longer to complete as certain prerequisite business courses are required.
For more information about the MBA program, contact Jason R. Winters, director of the Center for Small Business Entrepreneurship at the University of Rio Grande at (800) 282-7201 ext. 7352 or e-mail jwinters@rio.edu.
