Lynchburg-Clay Inducts new FFA members

By
-
On Monday, October 26 Lynchburg-Clay High School hosted their 2009 Greenhand Ceremony to officially induct all first year FFA members. This year 37 students received their Greenhand FFA Degree, receiving a pin and a certificate. The Greenhand FFA Degree is for first year agriculture education students that have gained knowledge about the FFA and have started plans for their Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) project. Our keynote speaker for the night was Amy Jo Frost, the District 9 FFA President. She gave an inspiring message about the countless number of opportunities in the FFA. Mrs. Jo Heather Arnett spoke at the ceremony about the Lynchburg-Clay FFA Alumni and how parents can be involved in the program. During this memorable ceremony, Melissa Blankenship and Emma Setty recited the FFA Creed together. This was a successful night for everyone there, which was accomplished with volunteers and the Lynchburg-Clay FFA Alumni. A special thanks to Mrs. Linda Hatten for all her advice and support. Also thanks to Mrs. Becky Eldridge, Mrs. Janet West, and Mrs. Amy Ritt for their wonderful desserts and refreshments. The Lynchburg-Clay FFA Alumni is always in need of more volunteers and members. If you would like to be a part of this organization please contact Mrs. Stacie McKee at Lynchburg-Clay High School, 937-364-2250 extension 11612. [[In-content Ad]]
