On Friday, Oct. 2, the wonderful Lynchburg-Clay FFA members hosted their annual Ag Day.
During the event, the FFA members educated our elementary students about agriculture. A total of 45 FFA members and four adults assisted with the event. FFA members served as group leaders and led the elementary kids around to each station. Other FFA members served as teachers of the various entertaining and interactive stations.
Some animals we had included: pigs, rabbits, chickens, cows and horses. In addition, we had stations that involved blacksmithing, plant and soil science, and the kid’s favorite, the fun station.
Mrs. Kim Cooper said “My fifth-graders were excited about Ag Day and loved every minute of it. I'm glad that our district allowed this tradition to continue this year, and I appreciate all of the time and effort that went into preparing activities for the students. Even with the COVID regulations in place, the day was a huge success.”
The LC FFA would like to give a special thank you to Miss Marisa Smith, Mr. Eli Roush and Mr. Troy Roush. Also a thank you to the teachers and students of grades 3-5 in the elementary school. Of course, a huge thank you to all of our members that helped to make this year's Ag Day a huge success.
