The Lynchburg-Clay FFA officers' team recently visited the Lynchburg-Clay Middle School to inform the eighth-graders of the activities and advantages that come with being an FFA member.

To prepare for the assembly, the officers made poster boards and brought in examples and specimens for the activities for students to participate in. The students observed each station and learned about SAE’s (Supervised Agriculture Experience), CDE’s (Career Development Events), Trips and Competitions found in Agriculture Education courses and the FFA chapter.

Each station was 10 minutes long and allowed the eighth-graders hands-on experiences.

The recruitment day proved successful with many students eager to become an FFA member and aspiring to become an officer. Many thanks are due to those who helped make the day possible, including the officers, Mrs. McKee, Mr. Magee and the middle school teachers.
