Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter receives 2-Star National Chapter Award

Lynchburg-Clay FFA
The Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter attended the 2011 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.
The FFA Chapter participated in many activities on the trip, including a round barn tour and an agribusiness tour, a trip to an American Indian Museum and a concert that consisted of Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, and Steel Magnolia.
The Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter received the 2-Star National Chapter Award based on their activities in the Student, Chapter, and Community Divisions.
This prestigious honor was accepted by Co-Vice Presidents Erin Rowlands and Andrew Chaney on behalf of the Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter.
The Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter members Rachel Clonch and Brad Keltner received their American Degrees.
Rachel is the daughter of Steve and Karen Clonch and she is currently attending Southern State Community College.
Brad is the son of Wayne and Diane Keltner. Brad is currently attending the University of Kentucky.
The American FFA Degree is the highest award a member can earn from the National FFA Organization and is based on the members’ agriculture projects and FFA activities.
The chapter would like to thank the following for chaperoning the trip: Mrs. Rachel Bohrer, Mrs. Jean Fawley, Mr. Keith Setty, Mrs. Janet West, and Mrs. Sandy West.

Lynchburg-Clay FFA chapter holds donation drive
The Lynchburg-Clay FFA chapter participated in a donation drive in December to benefit the Highland County Humane Society and the Because He Lives Food Pantry in Lynchburg.
The FFA chapter involved the elementary and high school students by having them donate items that varied from dog food, cat food, different age groups of clothing, and food.
With the whole school collecting items we had a total of about 50 bags and boxes full of items. The Donation Drive was a very successful event. Thank you to all that participated in this worthy cause.[[In-content Ad]]
