Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter ranked 'Top 10 Chapter' in Ohio for 3rd straight year

The Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter was recently recognized at the 86th Ohio FFA Convention as a Top 10 Chapter Overall in the State.

This is the third year in a row that Lynchburg-Clay has received this prestigious honor. The FFA Chapter was also recognized for being a Gold Medal Chapter (which is the highest ranking a chapter can receive).

Lynchburg-Clay FFA was named Top 10 Chapter in all three categories of the Models of Innovation competition: Student Development, Chapter Development, and Community Development. For this competition the chapter submitted the National Chapter Award application in March. To determine the final results, the chapter had to give three different student presentations in each category at the State FFA Convention.

Representing the Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter in the Student Development category was Johnny Lewis and Emily Roush; in the Chapter Development category was Lacie Evans and Trenton Stadtmiller; and in the Community Development category was Julie Arnett and Marc Blankenship. Each pair of students created a ten minute Powerpoint presentation on three different activities that corresponded to their category. The presentations were given at the state convention to a panel of four judges. After the conclusion of the presentation the judges asked questions to the students.

Being named to as a Top 10 Chapter in Ohio for three years in a row is a remarkable accomplishment and wouldn’t be able to be achieved if it wasn’t for the support and encouragement that the Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter receives from their school administration, parents, teachers, and community. Congratulations to Lynchburg-Clay FFA Chapter on a job well done!
