Lynchburg-Clay art students unveil park mural

The Lynchburg-Clay High School art students, under the guidance of Mrs. Melissa O'Connor, recently painted a beautiful mural/play area in Cramton Park (at the opposite end from the Covered Bridge).

The concrete platform, formerly the floor of a maintenance building, was transformed into a colorful play area.

The area contains different play areas, such as four-square, hopscotch, and an alphabet game. This was a great way for the students to participate in beautifying the Village, and an inexpensive way to improve our park!  We are so excited to have such talented artists in our
area.

The high school students endured a cold, blustery October morning of painting and a several more hours of finishing touches, transforming the area into a fun place for young children to play.

Our thanks go out to each student who helped:  Britney Aubrey, Luke Becknell, P.J. Berwanger, Zach Brown, Hannah Burns, Aaron Chaney, Morgan Clinton, Kyler Constable, Madysyn Creighton, Sara Dye, Nikki Jones, Mason Jordan, Lilly Knox, Taylor Lucas, Ashley McGuire, Zach Mahoney, Justin Mendoza, Beth Myers, Dresden Naylor, Holly Pegan, Rachel Pingleton, Brooke Purtee, Emily Rose, Morgan Ryan, Brandon Storer, Amanda Taylor, Keysha Taylor, Honor Walker and Bradi Winkle.

Special thanks to Mrs. O'Connor for arranging transportation and coordinating the project. Our sincere appreciation goes out to you!
