Leeth’s work showcased at MHS
Lead Summary

By
Brooklyn Higginbotham and Emily Smith-
Vincent Leeth is a soon-to-be graduate of Greenfield McClain High School who characterizes his passion for photography as “a way to distinguish myself, a hobby I love, and a way to challenge myself to do things I wouldn’t necessarily do otherwise.”
Leeth’s talent in photography was splashed in the MHS showcase located on the first-floor hallway beside the office. It displayed a tease of some of the photos he’s taken.

“It's a little awkward, I have to say. I generally have people congratulate me from behind a screen, but to have them say it in person is a little crazy to me,” Leeth said about his talent being on display.
Leeth claims that his interest in photography “stemmed out of nowhere.” He snapped a shot of a fellow classmate of his, and the photo grew to be a personal favorite.
“The lighting is dramatic, the colors were muted, but definitely popped,” Leeth said. “Everything just seemed to work.”
Unlike most photographers, Leeth shoots his best work with his cell phone camera, simply because he claims to “shoot in RAW.” However, his work is so vivid and vibrant, many say that it’s hard to tell the difference between a photo taken with his cell phone camera and a photo taken with an expensive, professional camera.
Without a specific style, Leeth enjoys taking close-ups of things most people find unappealing and giving them a reason to be admired.
“There's no one way to do it,” he said. “Anyone can do anything they want, shoot whatever they want, edit however they want.”
Watch throughout the year for more on each showcased artist.
