The Leesburg Library’s summer reading program "Dig into Reading!" is under way.
We have many activities and programs planned for patrons of all ages and we hope you will be able to join us for some or all of them.
Please stop in to sign up and start reading and winning prizes.
There will be no story times during June, July and August.
Our special programs for kids will be on Thursdays. This month’s programs include:
• June 6 – Bookin’ with Ronald McDonald. Join us for an entertaining show by everyone’s favorite clown at 10:30 a.m.
• June 13 – Dig into Gardening with master gardener Ray Koch. Learn about gardening with hands on activities for kids at 10:30 a.m.
• June 20 – Dig into Popcorn. Join us for popcorn and a movie at 10:30 a.m.
• June 27 – Dig the Adventure. Join us for an adventure-filled life-size board game at 10:30 a.m. Fun and prizes!

Don’t forget to pick up an “Away From Home Gnome” to take with you on vacation. Details for the contest are available at our front desk.
We also would like patrons of all ages to enter our “Underground” art contest. Entries should have some connection to our theme “Underground.” Details for this contest are at our front desk as well.
Other activities this month include our Knit Together group, which meets on Thursday evenings at 5:30 p.m. New members are always welcome so feel free to join the group.
Dawna Jo Kiesling from the Highland County Extension Office will share nutrition tips and healthy recipes for summer cooking on Thursday, June 13 from 10 a.m.-noon.
RRRR book group meets on Thursday, June 20 at 1:30 p.m. The group is looking for new members so feel free to join them for some great book discussion.
