LCMS student wins Lions Club district award

The District 13-OH6 Lions Convention was held recently at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Blue Ash. Among the many persons recognized for outstanding achievement was Caraline West, a sixth-grade student at Lynchburg-Clay Middle School.
West was the district winner in the annual Peace Poster Contest sponsored by Lions International. The Lynchburg Lions Club sponsored the local contest, which had nearly 100 participants. West was selected the winner at Lynchburg-Clay.
West received a plaque and $50 for her district-winning poster. She and her parents were guests of the Lions at the convention, and she received her award from the District Governor and the International Director, who is from Florida.
